Octopus Referral Scheme Terms And Conditions

New Octopus Energy customers are given a unique referral code when they switch their gas and/or electricity to Octopus. Under the Octopus Referral Scheme, anyone using a referral link to switch their energy to Octopus receives £50 free account credit, as does their referrer. A £50 referral bonus is added to your Octopus account shortly after you've made your first payment. To encourage new switchers to use my Octopus referral link I'm sharing my referral reward with you, so you get an extra £25, therefore £75 in total for switching supplier.

Octopus Referral Scheme - Terms & Conditions

See below for extracts from the Octopus Energy website terms and conditions, detailing the eligibility of a referrer and referee to receive referral rewards under the Octopus referral programme:

7.5 You will NOT be eligible to refer customers to us under the referral scheme if:

7.5.1 You are not an existing customer of Octopus Energy;

7.5.2 The person you refer is an existing customer of Octopus Energy (including any of its white label brands), or is supplied under the Bulb energy supply licence;

7.5.3 The person you refer cancels their agreement with us before their Supply Start Date or their first successful direct debit payment;

7.5.4 The person you refer has been a customer of Octopus Energy within the last 12 months

7.6 You will only be eligible for a referral reward if you sign up directly online through a Personalised Link. You will not be eligible for a referral reward if you sign up via a third party like a price comparison site.

7.7 If you qualify for more than one type of marketing incentive, we reserve the right to give you just one incentive. This will be the highest value incentive of those for which you qualify.

How To Use My £75 Octopus Referral Link

Click on my Octopus referral link to visit the Octopus Energy website for your quote. If you go ahead with the switch, I'll receive an email confirming your referral. When your switch completes and you've made your first payment, Octopus will sort our £50 referral rewards. I'll then pay your extra £25 by your choice of PayPal, bank transfer or Amazon gift card. Just complete my contact form to confirm you've used my referral code and let me know how you'd like paid.
